WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?
WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?
I’ve felt since I was old enough to understand life that being wealthy was wrong.
Hence I’ve always identified with the Robin Hoods rather than the robbing bastards.

I think there should be caps on fortunes. Everything over a certain amount should go back into the government pot. Nobody ‘needs’ £50,000,000 or £30 million for that matter.

I agree it’s a nice idea but I have two words to say, “Offshore banking…”
I read yesterday that Microsoft have salted $21 billion away over four years, saving an estimated $4.5 billion in tax. I’m not criticising individuals like your good self and partner, because as you say, the real rich are in a different league.
Last year I was in Sicily studying Cosa Nostra (and came back to tell the tale) We met an investigating magistrate – not like in England, this bloke was handsome, intelligent and fairly young – and he told me that if big business helped the authorities they could dismantle the Mafia in a couple of years. He had to have 24/7 armed guards and he and his wife and young family lived in constant fear of assassination – because he was “following the money.”
The global business model is the problem. The world’s people are treated like farm animals.
Oink oink!

Yep – my first wife’s folks worked for a patrician Tory MP and businessman. He had a Regency property in the Cotswolds and was a Queen’s Equerry. When we were there Lady Di often rang. To be fair the bloke saved my son from drowning. While a 2-year old toddler, my kid was stopping with his grandparents and jumped in the swimming pool and promptly sank – I was 50 miles away. The Major plunged in fully-clothed and saved him.
